Remote SEO Lead

We are seeking an SEO Lead who combines deep technical expertise with leadership skills and a drive to innovate. You’ll be the go-to advisor on SEO strategy, responsible not only for delivering results but also for leading and mentoring a team. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects in the software development and other industries, experiment with AI-driven approaches, and make a direct impact on Scopic’s growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of SEO specialists, ensuring best practices and clear goals.
- Assess Scopic’s current SEO strategy and develop a roadmap to increase organic traffic, lead generation, and conversions.
- Oversee execution of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO initiatives.
- Monitor performance, analyze data, and generate reports with actionable insights.
- Stay ahead of industry trends — especially innovations in AI-driven SEO — and proactively introduce new tools and methods.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, content, and development teams to align SEO strategies with business goals.
- Ensure consistent communication, organization, and clarity in task planning and reporting.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of professional SEO experience, including leadership/management of SEO teams.
- Proven track record of delivering SEO growth in competitive industries (bonus if in software development or technology).
- Strong technical SEO knowledge (site audits, crawling, indexing, schema, site speed optimization, etc.).
- Expertise in on-page and off-page SEO, including link-building and digital PR.
- Proficiency with Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with web structures: servers, CMS platforms, HTML/CSS, JavaScript.
- Experience with AI/LLM-driven SEO experimentation (preferred, but not required).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills — able to explain complex SEO insights in a clear, actionable way.
- Flexible, proactive, and open to innovation.
- Advanced written and spoken English.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
