Business Development Manager
The Role
We’re hiring a hands-on hunter to open Brazil for GAIN. You’ll build the first pipeline, validate ICP fit and pricing, and close our earliest lighthouse retainers. Expect a mix of self-prospecting, partner development, and event outreach, collaborating tightly with our international teams across UK, Spain and Canada to shape offers and case stories.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and qualify leads; run discovery, solutioning with PD/Creative, proposals, and negotiations.
- Test ICPs, pricing, and messaging; document learnings weekly.
- Build partner/channel intros (platforms, e-com tech, communities) and work events/meetups.
- Maintain CRM hygiene and accurate forecasting; coordinate clean handovers to delivery.
Requirements
The ideal candidate has the following qualifications, but we encourage you to apply even if you feel you do not meet 100% of the requirements below.
- 3–5 years selling agency/consulting services (not ad inventory), specifically paid media + creative strategy AND/OR CRO/experimentation.
- Proven hunter: self-prospecting, sequencing, multi-threading, and closing new logos.
- Confident with retainer sales (scoping hours, writing SOWs/MSAs, negotiating commercials).
- Can translate marketing outcomes (CPA, ROAS, CVR, A/B test results) into a business case.
- Portuguese (native) and English (fluent). Spanish nice-to-have.
Nice-to-haves
- Network within São Paulo mid-market/enterprise advertisers (e-com, fintech, retail, marketplaces).
- Relationships with Meta/Google partner teams, platforms, VC/accelerators.
- Familiarity with CRO tooling (GA4, GTM, Optimizely/VWO), and creative testing on Meta/TikTok.
- Comfortable collaborating with Performance Directors, Creative Strategists, and PMs
