QA Mobile Automation Engineer

You bring to Applaudo the following competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• Strong expertise in UI automation (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Cucumber, POM) and API automation (Postman, Rest Assured, Karate DSL).
• Hands-on experience in mobile automation with Appium and other frameworks (Espresso, XCUITest, Detox).
• Familiarity with DevOps/QAOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, AWS).
• Solid knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases for test data management.
• Exposure to cloud device farms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, etc.) and low-code tools (Katalon, TOSCA).
• ISTQB® CTFL and Appium Certified Developer.
• Excellent problem-solving, collaborative mindset, and strong communication skills in English for direct client interaction.
• English is a requirement, as you will be working directly with US-based clients.

You will be accountable for the following responsibilities:

• Plan, design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test scenarios.
• Identify opportunities for test automation in web, API, and mobile applications.
• Log and triage defects, retest fixes, and deliver clear reporting.
• Collaborate with developers and QA analysts to define and execute test automation strategies.
• Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders on test planning and execution.
• Monitor test progress, ensure exit criteria are met, and maintain QA metrics.
• Support the selection and integration of automation tools into CI/CD pipelines.
  
  Qualifications

Knowledge of automation and agile methodologies (SCRUM), ISTQB certification (CFTL is a plus).
