Senior Video Editor

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Video Editor with deep experience in editing long-form YouTube content. This role is ideal for someone who understands the dynamics of viewer retention, storytelling, pacing, and platform-specific best practices for YouTube.

You will collaborate with producers, writers, and other editors to craft compelling, engaging content that resonates with our audience and aligns with our brand voice and tone.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit long-form YouTube videos end-to-end using raw footage, voiceovers, b-roll, motion graphics, and sound design.
• Shape compelling narratives that maximize viewer retention and encourage watch-through.
• Work closely with the creative team to implement feedback and elevate the overall storytelling quality.
• Implement platform-optimized editing techniques (hooks, pacing, structure, thumbnails integration, etc.).
• Maintain brand consistency in visual and audio elements across all videos.
• Stay current with YouTube trends, algorithm changes, and editing styles in the creator and media space.
• Manage post-production timelines to meet publishing deadlines without compromising quality.
  

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional video editing experience, with a strong portfolio of long-form YouTube content.
• Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (DaVinci Resolve and After Effects a plus).
• Strong sense of narrative structure, pacing, comedic timing, and visual storytelling.
• Ability to independently manage editing projects from raw footage to final export.
• Familiarity with YouTube analytics and how editing choices affect engagement and retention.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Highly organized with strong file management and versioning practices.
