QA Engineer for Data Warehouse

 We are seeking a skilled Data Warehouse QA Engineer to join our team and ensure the quality and reliability of our data warehousing product. The ideal candidate will have strong automation skills and be familiar with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) stack.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans for our data warehousing product, focusing on data integrity, performance, and functionality.
• Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing to validate data pipelines and transformations.
• Create and maintain automated test suites using appropriate tools and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
• Develop complex SQL queries to validate data across multiple databases and data.
• Collaborate with data engineers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and create effective test strategies.
• Develop and maintain test data sets that accurately represent production scenarios.
• Participate in defect triage calls and work closely with the development team to resolve issues

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in QA engineering, with a focus on data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with big data technologies such as BigQuery.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) for test automation.
• Familiarity with GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Storage.
• Experience with data quality and test automation tools.
• Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts, data modeling, and ETL processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
